Two Pinion Combining Gear
This two pinion combining gear, a component of a main propulsion system was purchased by Fairbanks Morse and used by Falcon Carriers Incorporated. Original Falk caption reads, "Main propulsion-35,000 DWT tanker. This FWD STBD quarter view of drive to combine two 7,500 hp pielstick diesels at 520 rpm and drive 110 rpm lineshaft. Note 39 inch thrust bridge accessories include clutches, brakes, quill drive and complete lubrication system. See Engineering File for exact specifications." Male employee in photograph is W.
