Man Measuring Drive Gear
Man measuring Drive Gear that was later purchased by Foster Wheeler Corporation and used by Pennsylvania Power & Light Company of Sunbury Station, Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania. The original Falk caption describes the Gear as a, "Ball Pulverizer (Mill BP-392) with 411 teeth, 2 1/2 DP, 25 3/4 inch face. Meshed with 22 tooth pinion shown on Drawing 122458. Gear pitch diameter=164.400 inches. Gear drawing 404950. Gear was damaged when the mill trunnion failed causing severe tooth misalignment. Note bent teeth." |
