ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The International model "H-10-H," the world's first commercially successful mechanical cotton picker, was a one-row, spindle-type picker that employed a barbed spindle. Although a number of variations on the machine had been tested previously, economic and social conditions prevented further development and mass availability of the cotton picker until the late 1940's.
