Wisconsin Governor's Residence
Interior view of the one of the bedrooms in the Wisconsin Governor's residence, 130 East Gilman Street. Shown is the ornate bed that Ole Bull, internationally famous violinist, brought to the home where he lived in the 1870s and 1880s. Bull came to the home to play when it was occupied by J.G. Thorp and his family. Bull subsequently married Thorps' daughter, Sara, and lived in the house until the time of his death. |
