"End Witch Hunts" Cover

Cover of flyer found in the papers of the National Committee to Abolish the Un-American Activities Committee. Founded in 1960, the committee later became the National Committee Against Repressive Legislation. Although the censure of Senator Joseph R. McCarthy is often cited as the end of extreme anti-Communism hysteria, HUAC continued to exist (as the House Internal Security Committee) until 1975. |
