This image is a part of the Elizabeth Abernathy Hull collection. Hull was raised in the Kansas City area. She took up the camera as a school-girl, photographing family, friends, picnics, boating, berry-picking, and summer resort life on Madeline Island, Wisconsin, where her family owned Coole Park Manor from 1905 to around 1946. The image appeared on the front cover of the 1988 Wisconsin Historical Calendar. |
