From Kathleen Lenerz 3/1/2007: "The stone building was owned and operated by Michael 'Mikie' Lenerz (1873-1956), and his wife, Margaret Casey (ca 1866-1933), as a store and butcher shop. In 1937, it was taken over by Mikie's brother Edward 'Shorty' Lenerz and operated as Shorty's Tavern until 1946. Ed Lenerz was married to a great-granddaughter of William Dickinson. |
