Stairway from the main hall to the second floor at Cyrus McCormick,Jr.'s residence at 50 East Huron Street, with a view of the house's east windows. The door to the Empire Room is at right. Although they can barely be seen in the picture, writing on the back of the photograph identifies the painting at the extreme right of the photograph as that of Cyrus H. McCormick (the 1st), and the rug hanging on the wall at the top of the stairs at the far left of the photograph as a "valuable Sepahan prayer rug." |
