"Forward" Statue
"Forward" statue, sculpted by Jean P. Miner, for the Columbian Exposition of 1893 in Chicago, Illinios. After the exhibition, women of Wisconsin donated funds to have it reproduced in copper. A replica in bronze of "Forward" now stands in front of the Wisconsin State Capitol, at the head of State Street. The original statue resides at the Wisconsin Historical Society. |
