FWD personnel in the photograph who assisted in the development of the race vehicle include H.B. Dodge, chief engineer (standing on the left), Frank Gause, FWD secretary (third from the left) and Walter Olen, FWD president who is seated in the car next to the driver, Bob McDonogh, a veteran Indy race car driver. Also part of the group in the backrow (second from the left, with cigar) is the famous race driver Barney Oldfield who was the FWD race team manager. |
