Southgate Shopping Center

Entrance to the Southgate Shopping Center, Theatre, and parking lot. The proximity of parking to the stores in suburban shopping centers was one of the primary reasons for the decline of downtown shopping districts beginning in the 1950s. The theatre is showing John Frankenheimer's "Grand Prix Cinerama," which some consider the greatest automobile racing film. |
