Scene of Car and Truck Accident near Alma's Inn

Scene of wrecked car and semi-trailer truck in front of Alma's Inn, 5068 Highway 12-13. Injured in the accident were five men en route to work at the Badger Ordnance Works at Baraboo. The men are: Albert E. Smith, 39, Platteville; Horace Berg, 43, Belleville; Norman Harper, 42, Belleville; E.M. Disch, 49, Belleville; and Carlton S. Burke, 41, Belleville. The driver of the truck, Norman R. Everson, 35, Eau Claire, was uninjured and helped rescue the occupants of the car. Alma's Inn was torn down during the expansion of Highway 12 which was completed in 2005. |
