High School Student War Work
Two high school students working at the Quality Service Laundry. From left: Bonnie Warren, and Donna Wolfe, both seniors at West High. These students divide their days between school work and work about town under a work-credit plan devised by the Board of Education, which is considered one of the foremost in the nation. This work-credit program using students was necessary due to the shortage of workers during World War II. |
