La Follette, Sr.  He is standing in front of the Ripon school house, the birthplace of the Republican Party.  To the left is a depiction of the assassination of Charles Arndt. Between the rails stands Governor Coles Bashford and beside him is James Duane Doty. In the background the Wisconsin State Capitol can be seen.
DESCRIPTION
