Amery Road near New Richmond. The photograph was taken by the Wisconsin Good Roads Association probably as an illustration of the kind of improved roads that the organization advocated. The photograph also appeared in the Highway Commission's annual report in 1918 with a comment on the fill well protected by a guard rail. |
