Joseph Mann Public Library
Interior view of the Joseph Mann Public Library, showing the south half of the reading room. The building opened in 1914. Land was funded by a $1000 donation from Mrs. Jos. Mann and a $12,500 donation from Andrew Carnegie. The walls and ceiling are covered with copper plated metal that was a gift from former Two Rivers resident, Hermann Voshardt, of the Freidly-Voshardt Co. of Chicago, manufacturers of metal ceilings. Also in the room are reading tables and chairs, a desk, and bookshelves. |
