The Smith M. Jacobs Flour and Feed Store (left) and residence (right), 301 and 303 Monroe Street. The address renumbered within the next five years to 1701 and 1705 Monroe Street, respectively. The image shows a view looking southeast near the intersection of Garfield Street. Jacob's home and business were located in what was then the suburb of Wingra Park. He used this halftone photograph in his advertising. |
