Iowa County Court House

Slightly elevated view across street towards the second Iowa County Court House, built in 1842. For a time in 1846, the space was leased to the newly organized congregation of Trinity Episcopal Church while its own edifice was under construction. After the seat of county government was moved to Dodgeville in 1861, the city of Mineral Point purchased the property. The building was demolished in 1913 and the Municipal Building was erected on its site. |
