City Market building, 101 North Blount at East Mifflin Street, built in 1909 and designed by architect Robert L. Wright. In 1920 it became the City of Madison East Side Streets Division warehouse until the Alexander Company converted the building into 18 apartments in 1987. |

A farmer's market was once held in this building that was built shortly after the turn of the century, the sire was purchased by the city for the streets division about 1920. Originally published in a Wisconsin State Journal column entitled "Have You Seen This Madison?". The column ran from 1969 to 1977. |
