| The building was constructed for use as the Supreme Court, but was never actually used. The only session of the Court at Leslie, was held in 1836 in the Legislative building, while the court was under construction, and was quickly adjourned for lack of business. The Court was soon thereafter moved to Burlington, Iowa, and then to Madison, Wisconsin. The building was later used as a horse barn on the Charles C. Arthur farm and later as the residence of Charles Dunn. It was eventually moved to a new foundation beside the restored Territorial Capitol and itself completely restored. South side and west end. |
