Whiting House
Stereograph view of the Whiting House with its large harbor and boats. Whiting House is a four-story wood frame Second Empire style hotel standing on the lake shore at Lake Geneva. Several sets of stairs lead to a porch which extends across the front of the first floor. Several rowboats and sailboats are moored in front of the hotel. Horse-drawn vehicles are parked on the shore. Many people can be seen standing on land or aboard the boats. In the foreground, four people are seated in a rowboat, three are rowing, and one is seated in the stern. Other buildings of the village are seen on the left. |
