620 North Frances
This late picturesque-style residence was built in 1883 for William and Webster Pond, the former local high school vice-principal. Two people are posing near the front steps. It was occupied from 1890 to 1898 by Samuel H. Marshall and from 1899 to 1935 by J.C. Harper, president of Dane County Telephone Company. It was demolished along with nearby structures in 1960 to enable construction of Lowell Hall. Science Hall is in the background. |
