A vine-covered stone house, 3400 Tallyho Lane, built by Joseph Statz about 1855. Later owned by builder David Stephens and then by Forest & Leonore Middleton who ran the "Mouse-Around Gift Shop" out of the house. |

The home housed the decendants of the first occupants who lent their name to Madison's western suburb, Middleton. The house is in the middle of Shorewood Hills. Originally published in a Wisconsin State Journal column entitled "Have You Seen This Madison?". The column ran from 1969 to 1977. |
