602 North Frances Steet.  Property tax records indicate that the original part of this residence was erected in 1874 for attorney Burr W. Jones. It appears to have been altered considerably in 1880. From 1883-1911 owner Mrs. A.O. Fox rented to various fraternities including Chi Psi (1883-1890) and Gamma Phi Beta (1890-1895). From 1911-1933 the house served as residence of Ella Cochrane, and after that time the "Cochrane House" offered rooms for rent.
DESCRIPTION
