Wright-Style Dresser House
Exterior view of a house, named "Ode to an Oak Leaf" by its architect James Dresser, and built in 1950 in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright (Dresser was a pupil of Wright). Designed in the Wright style, shaping to fit the natural terrain-even going so far as to cut a hole through the roof to let a tree grow through. The house, located at 1002 Oak Way in Shorewood Hills, was built using stone from an old quarry on the building site. |
