Election Night
Governor and Mrs. Oscar Rennebohm in the Governor's Residence, 130 E. Gilman Street, listening to the election returns on the radio. Some of the mansion's decor is visible in the background. Rennebohm, the wealthy founder of Rennebohm Drug Stores, Inc., was a novice in politics when he was elected lieutenant governor in 1944. In 1947 he became governor when Governor Walter Goodland died in office. In 1948 Rennebohm was re-elected governor in his own right. |
