Mr. Mero was from Clifton, Wisconsin, a discontinued post office in Monroe County. He enlisted August 11, 1862 and died of disease on a hospital boat, July 26, 1863. He was buried at Hlena, Arkansas. Photoprint on salted paper, in part hand-colored. |
