From records on Ancestry.com: He was born in Maine in March 1843, married Emma J. Ayers 29 May 1866 in Polk County, Wisconsin. Two children were born in Wisconsin, Sylvia G. in March 1869 and Leon R. in Feb 1872. In 1880 the family lived in Pipestone County, Minnesota; in 1900 and 1910 in Otero County, Colorado, where Charles died in 1914.
