Milwaukee Labor Day Parade on Wisconsin Avenue

Workers and soldiers marched together in Milwaukee's first Labor Day parade in many years, sponsored by the CIO, to demonstrate the common interest of all of the American people: jobs, security, peace. Shown above is the Local 75, UAW-CIO (Seaman Body) contingent which led off the parade with massed flags of all nations and the drum corps of the Army and Navy Union. |
