Tank Cottage
View of the Tank cottage. The cottage was built about 1803 by Joseph Roi, a fur trader, who lived in it until 1805 when it was purchased by Jacques Porlier. In the mid-19th century the Tank family purchased it. The Brown County Historical Society and the South Side Improvement Association both owned the cottage at one time, and 1975 it became a part of Heritage Hill State Historical Park. |
