Belle Case La Follette

Belle Case La Follette | Photograph | Wisconsin Historical Society
Formal, full-length portrait in front of a painted backdrop of Belle Case La Follette, the wife of Robert M. La Follette, Sr. Although the negative jacket identified the portrait as 1903-1904, the La Follette Family album, which was assembled by Isabel La Follette, identifies it as 1905-1906, which seems more likely. It is also likely the dress is a new one purchased to wear in Washington, D.C.
