The La Follette Family in a boat, probably on Lake Mendota, with Gilbert Roe, La Follette's law partner, and his wife.  Senator Robert M. La Follette, Sr., is seated to the far left wearing a dark hat.  From the left the others are Bob, Jr.; Netha Roe; Mary La Follette; Belle Case La Follette; and Gilbert Roe.  Philip La Follette is standing on the dock holding the rope.  The other person on the dock is identified only in the La Follette Family Album as "Joe."
DESCRIPTION
