Possible Morehead Residence | Photograph | Wisconsin Historical Society
View of what possibly was the Morehead residence, in the vicinity of Belleville. The home was built in 1858, designed and built by William Close, carpenter of Verona, Wisconsin. There are three houses in the vicinity, all designed alike and built by Close. This one is situated 2.5 miles north of the town on the bank of Sugar River. At the time of this photograph, three generations of Moreheads have lived here: William, his son (also William), and his grandson, Orlo C. Morehead.
