Millard Fillmore

A head and shoulders portrait of Millard Fillmore, 13th President of the United States, 1850-1853. Fillmore was born in the Finger Lakes country of New York on January 7, 1800 and died March 8, 1874. As Vice-President, he succeeded Zachary Taylor as Presdent when Taylor died in office. His party, the Whigs, blocked his nomination for re-election in 1852. |
