Ebenezer Childs
Quarter-length oval portrait of Ebenezer Childs. He was born in the town of Barre, Worcester County, Massachusetts on April 3, 1798. Childs arrived in Green Bay on May 9, 1820, and built Wisconsin's first framed house there for Judge James Doty in 1825. Childs later resided in La Crosse, Wisconsin. |
