Pastor Claus Clausen

Head and shoulders portrait of Pastor Clause L. Clausen, a chaplain in Companies F and S, 15th Wisconsin Infantry. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in St. Ansgar, Wisconsin. On December 11, 1861 he was commissioned by the governor of Wisconsin to serve as chaplain and on February 13, 1861, he was mustered into service. He resigned his commission on November 26, 1862. |
