World's First Reaper Placard
Placard for display with replicas of Cyrus McCormick's reaper of 1831. The replicas were produced by the International Harvester Company for the "reaper centennial" celebration marking the one hundred year anniversary of Cyrus McCormick's invention. The placard includes text describing the basic principles of the reaper and a reproduction of N.C. Wyeth's painting of the first reaper test at Steele's Tavern, Virginia. |
