ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
From Jim Allen: "1977 Scout SSII with top up. The SSII was introduced in January of 1977 as a competition for the off-road oriented Jeeps. The SSII introduction coincided with International sponsoring first three, then four, desert racing teams that raced Scout outfitted in a similar way. The SSII was available in an austere, "ready-to build" trim or dressed up at the factory in one of several packages. This Alpine White SSII would either be either a Sport or a Baja Cruiser SSII Package, the difference between them discernible only from interior. The soft top and doors were optional and came in white or black."
