McCormick-Deering No. 41 Harvester-Thresher in Field
Elevated view of a McCormick-Deering No. 41 harvester-thresher (combine) hitched to a tractor in a field. Original caption reads: "While the no. 41 is not yet in full production, it is expected to replace the no. 11 harvester-thresher. It is a 3-wheel in-line machine equipped with 16-foot folding-type platform, five-section straw rack, recleaner, and platform power control. The latter device permits the tractor operator to raise or lower the platform as desired by merely pulling one of two ropes conveniently attached to the tractor." |
