Wisconsin State Capitol (Third) and Park Detail
Detail of the photograph of the Third Capitol showing the North Wing addition completed in 1883. Designed by D.R. Jones, the North and South additions were more purely classical in design than the Kutzbock-Donnel design for the original structure, but the new wings nevertheless blended well. The north addition housed the Wisconsin Supreme Court. It was not damaged by the Capitol fire of 1904, and, as a result, it continued to be used during the construction of the new Capitol. The North Wing was demolished in 1913. |
