Cummins 6 Cyclinder Diesel Engine
Cummins Diesel Engine 4 7/8"x6" Model H-6 3/4 left side rear view. Neg. No. G.P. 9647. Accompanying typed sheet reads: "In January 1933 the 'Cummins' 6 cylinder Diesel engine was block tested and also installed in an I.H.C. truck. This engine operated on the 'common rail' injection principal, using one single plunger pump and a distributor. This engine gave an all around good account of itself, though no creditable features could be observed which would have induced the adoption of this system." |
