Charles Aldrich
Engraved lithographic portrait of Charles Aldrich, a newspaper owner and writer and Free Soil Party member of the Iowa State Assembly from 1860-1882. He served as First Lieutenant and Adjutant of the Thirty-second Iowa Infantry during the Civil War. He was state and federal commissioner to investigate the Des Moines River Lands controversy. |
