Seated portrait of Edwin Hale Abbot, during his time as a practicing lawyer in Boston. Abbot was an attorney on the 1869 Alabama Claims. He later became director and solicitor general of the Wisconsin Central Railway. He moved to Milwaukee and served as president of the Railway from 1876 to 1890. |
