Enger-Kress Pocketbook Company
Text on front reads: "West Bend, Wis.,_______190___" with space for the date. An engraving of the Enger-Kress Pocket Book Company printed in blue ink. Originally a resort, this building was acquired by Enger-Kress Pocket Book Co. in 1902, where they manufactured handbags, wallets, coin purses and key holders. The two-story building has several towers and is surrounded by trees. In 1911 the building burned down, including all of the inventory. It was replaced by a brick building that was used until 1998. The company was dissolved in 2006. |
