Fountain House
Text on front reads: "Fountain House, Metropolitan Church Association, Waukesha, Wis." On July 4, 1874, the Fountain Spring House opened for business. Built of Waukesha limestone, the Fountain Spring House burned in 1878 and was rebuilt to twice its original size. It was sold to the Metropolitan Church Association of Chicago in 1905. Porches and balconies wrap around the front of the building. A sign on the chimneys reads: "Fountain Spring House." |
