Bird's-Eye View of Resthaven
Text on front reads: "Bird's-Eye View of Resthaven, Waukesha, Wis." Built in 1905 of brick in the Neoclassical style, Resthaven was a large resort hotel from the Springs Era in Waukesha. It was meant as a hotel for the overworked to restore their health, but only lasted until 1919 when it was sold to the Veterans Administration as a recuperative hospital and later a tuberculosis hospital. It was closed in 1958 and after several years purchased by the New Tribes Bible Institute. |
