Our Savior's Lutheran Church
Text on front reads: "Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Rev. J.J. Lee, Pastor. Parsonage. Stoughton, Wis. Photo by Dye, Janesville, Wis." Collage postcard of the church, Pastor and parsonage. The Pastor's name was Rev. J.J. Lee. The Neogothic Revival style church was constructed of concrete block in 1904. Also known as the Old North Church, it was demolished in 1996. It had arched stained glass windows and doorways and an ornate belfry. About 1903, Our Savior's Lutheran Church bought the house and used it as a parsonage until 1955. The house was built of cream brick in the Queen Anne style in 1890. Two children are sitting on the parsonage steps. |
