Hardware Mutuals | Postcard | Wisconsin Historical Society
Text on reverse reads: "Home Office, Hardware Mutuals, Stevens Point, Wis. This building of strength and beauty is the headquarters of Hardware Mutuals - one of the largest mutual fire, casualty and group insurance companies in the nation. You are welcome to tour the building." From the Wisconsin Historical Society's property record: "This office building, encompassing nearly a block was constructed in three phases between 1922 and 1937 as an imposing expression of the Beaux-Arts Classical style. Built of Bedford limestone, a more impressive and costly material than brick." Three-quarter view towards an intersection, with the building at the opposite corner. There are plants and flowers in the first story windows flanking the entrance to the building. On the left corner in the foreground are automobiles parked in a parking lot.
