Postcard
Journal Square
Text on front reads: "Journal Square. Fountain by Dick Wiken, Sculptor, Shorewood, Wisconsin." Text on reverse: "Journal Square. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The home of the Milwaukee Journal, (Milwaukee's Pulitzer prize winning newspaper) and the Milwaukee Sentinal." A three part fountain cascades into a pool surrounded by several circular, flower and tree filled elements. Tall buildings are behind the fountain, and the facade of the building facing the fountain has sculptures of human figures in various poses mounted on the front. The postcard has a scalloped die cut edge. |
