That part of the beach shown in the picture is about in the middle of this 'Coney Island of Wisconsin'. The beach and park at this point are public. Maintained and operated by Shawano County. The beach is sandy, and the depth of the water increases so gradually that one-half mile from shore it is not over five feet."</p>
