North Beach at County Park
Text on front reads: "North Beach at County Park on Shawano Lake, Shawano, Wis." A giant water slide and hut can be seen in Shawano Lake at the beach. Swimmers are in the water at the end of the slide. People are standing on the sand, and piers extend into the water with row boats pulled up onto the beach. Mature trees grow on the shoreline. Text on the reverse: "Six miles from Shawano, Wis., is one of the best bathing beaches in the country. That part of the beach shown in the picture is about in the middle of this 'Coney Island of Wisconsin'. The beach and park at this point are public. Maintained and operated by Shawano County. The beach is sandy, and the depth of the water increases so gradually that one-half mile from shore it is not over five feet." |
